Riding from Dayton to Sheridan |
Terry between Dayton and Sheridan |
Sheridan post office. While we were sorting our gear outside, many people stopped to talk with us. A while later, a guy from the newspaper arrived, and someone phoned the newspaper about us. The guy took our picture outside the post office for the paper. Celebrities, that's us. |
Sweet feeling to be mailing home clothes we hope we won't need. We hope we're done with snow and cold. |
Mari's pretty happy to be getting rid of five pounds of snow and cold weather gear. Sheridan post office. |
Sam! We found him at the grocery store. This was our third day of leap frogging with Sam. Saw him first when he passed us going into Cody, then we spent time with him at the Shell Falls area and leap frogged yesterday, and saw him again. It's fun to be leap frogging with him. Sam's Welsh, and works in Ireland. |

Break time for Terry. |
Another break for Terry. The country east of Sheridan was lovely; green rolling hills. |
Day 28. 6/6/12. Stopping at the top of a random driveway and our back road, Dana had seen us twice earlier on a wrong road, and invited us and Sam from Wales to spend the night t their guest house. We stayed with Dana & John, 12 miles e. of Sheridan (they invited us in and took us out to dinner. This was an enjoyable time. John does Iron-Man competitions. 40 miles. Total 1382.1 this was very neat, and we cancelled our lodging reservations 17 miles up the road. However, this meant a 95 mile day the next night.
