Mari's fanny pack, as well as other items, that was missing. Turned out that one of the dogs grabbed it and carried it out through the dog door and put it in the back yard. Kimberley and Robert have an acre--it is a big backyard. Good thing the dog dropped it in an easy place to spot, since the fanny pack had all of Mari's ID, credit cards, and money in it. Nothing of much importance. |

Terry had been having some pain, and an inguinal hernia was diagnosed. That put a different spin on the bike trip. |

Mari reenacts the scene of a year ago when Sean the Irish stranger drove up outside this one hole pit toilet on a rainy day and invited Mari and Terry to stay at an apartment/condo that he manages in Big Sky. We stayed, and had been invited again to stay for free at the condo Sean manages. Sean told Mari that his brother had done a bicycle tour in Europe and had been the recipient of other people's generosity, and Sean said he wanted to pay it forward. Lucky us.

Daily: 49 miles. Total: 1013.4 miles. Late start cycling, due to Terry's visit to Belgrade Urgent Care, with a diagnosis of a Hernia. The plan is to continue the trip, and change our return trip home to be an expedited one, and have the surgery ASAP. On and off thunderstorms, rain, sun, and hail. Stayed at the complimentary condo, thanks to Sean, who manages properties in Big Sky (whom we met last year). Elevation: 7500 ft

Lone Peak. We never saw it last year--didn't know it was here. It was raining last year and Lone Peak was obscured. |

Terry relaxing in the lovely condo that Sean once again offered us for free. Wow! What generosity to strangers. |
